Hiiiiiiiiiiii!!
It’s been a while, and I’m sorry (or not sorry if you were really enjoying the break). I know newsletters are important for authors to shoot out to the delightful humans who agreed to subscribe to them, but honestly - I kind of forget they’re a thing.
But…well, in publishing, nothing and everything changes, right? I still have Betting On You coming out in November, and I’d still love it if you preordered a copy or requested it for your library. (I’ll also still love you if you’re like NOPE)
Here’s a link to the gorgeous special editions Barnes and Noble is rolling out…
As well as the special edition of The Do-Over…
Also if you want a signed copy of Betting On You, Books-A-Million’s got you!
OKAY - ENOUGH OF ME LINKING THE LINKING LINK OUT OF YOU!!!!
If you’re still reading, you’re my hero because that was a lot of freaking promo!!!
Here are random tidbits of information, in no particular order:
In case you were wondering what happened to The Objectors, my next grown-up rom-com - it got a new title!!! It is now HAPPILY NEVER AFTER, still releasing on March 12, 2024. I’d love to share the cover, but it’s still somewhere in a fancy publishing building being finalized by people smarter than me, so I’ll show you later.
Coming VERY SOON to Simon Teen’s website is a little short story - BETTER THAN BEFORE - that features Bailey and Charlie, the main characters from Betting On You, as well as Wes and Liz from Better Than The Movies. It’s set a few years BEFORE BTTM (freshman year), so it’s a bit of a prequel, I suppose.
I’m drafting a new YA romcom that is set in Minnesota (settle down, Nebraska; I still love you) and has a Dani, an Alec, a hockey team and a cat named Puppy.
I’m drafting an adult romcom that is set in Omaha (probably) (because I am me) and has a Roman (millionaire), an Abi (NOT a millionaire), pretty-woman-meets-while-you-were-sleeping vibes, and six kittens belonging to a cat named Fat Orange.
I’ll be in LA next month for a book signing and Steamy Lit Con, so if you didn’t manage to get tickets for the latter before they sold out, grab tickets for the former (that was so out of order but I’m too lazy to re-write) so we can chat!!! Forgive me, but here is (in a whisper)…the link
Yesterday I fell off the couch and spilled soda on my own face.
This is the picture I texted my son of a haircut I think he should get:
OKAY - I THINK THAT’S IT.
Thank you for putting up with me, for allowing me to send you nonsensical ramblings, and if you’ve read any of my books, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Seriously. I will never be able to express how grateful I am for every single reader who has picked up my books. You’ve LITERALLY made my dreams come true.
(I don’t know what who Hungry Gerard is but I so enjoy this gif)
So I already have a copy of The Do-Over. Do I need another one? Yes? Then deal… I will preorder all of the books written by you!
LOVE YOUR BOOKS LOVE YOU THANK YOU FOR THE REMINDER TO ORDER SPECIAL EDITIONS
